Legal Internship

Job description

Who we are:

EVBox is the global leading manufacturer of electric vehicle charging stations and charging management software. With an installed base of over 60,000 charging points across more than 960 cities worldwide, EVBox drives sustainable mobility by bringing the leading electric vehicle charging solutions to the world. Just like the automobile replaced the horse and carriage, so will electric vehicles replace combustion-based automobiles. A charging point at every parking spot, an Electric Vehicle for every home.

Are you ambitious, hands-on, do you have eye for detail and do you like to work in a fast growing and international company where you get a lot of freedom and chances to develop yourself? Then this might be the opportunity you are looking for.

As a Legal Intern at EVBox you will work directly with the Legal & Compliance Manager. This means you will get a lot of different tasks and responsibility for your own projects from the beginning on.

Just a ‘usual’ day in the office …

A workday in legal is never typical but just to give you an impression, your day could start with reviewing draft contracts, improving existing or creating new templates and in the meanwhile helping on structuring legal assistance throughout the different departments of EVBox.

You are responsible for the accurate set-up of the legal database and help on various legal matters (going from ICT matters to IP, corporate and contractual etc.).

After a good lunch in the office (provided by EVBox for just a small monthly contribution), you also take part in the implementation of compliance processes. You prepare training materials for our employees and answer questions from colleagues on matters as for instance GDPR.

Currently, we are also working on the set-up of a contract management tool within an existing IT environment. This includes supporting the project team on the implementation of such tool, from providing necessary inputs, to actually seizing information and liaising with other departments to get the system up and running.

We are looking for you if …

  • You are currently enrolled as a student in a master’s degree in Law
  • You already have prior internship experience either in a law firm or a company (in particular experience on general contract matters, ICT contract experience would be a plus)
  • You are best available per December (or earlier) fulltime for 40 hours per week for at least 6 months
  • You have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English (Dutch is a plus)
  • You are excited about gaining hands-on experience as a Legal Generalist in different areas of Law & Compliance
  • You are full of creative ideas on how to fit-in legal & compliance into a business environment and you share our passion for collaborative but at the same time autonomous working
  • You live in or near Amsterdam

  • You will have the opportunity to develop your legal skills in the fast pacing environment of the exciting EV industry
  • Internship allowance
  • Lunch for a small contribution
  • Friday afternoon drinks and cool company events
  • Great learning opportunities
